Caulk Thoughts - Novaflex & Siroflex

#1 Post by Alacoyote »

My contractor routinely uses Siroflex caulk on their window installations. I've seen many a recommendation for Novaflex caulk on the Discussion Boards, and occasional mention of OSI Quad, but nothing about other acceptable sealants. The contractor is willing to use Novaflex if I want it, although I doubt they have any experience with it.

Have any of you beloved contractors/installers out there had any experience with Siroflex? Is Novaflex significantly superior such that I should require its use?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

I've never seen the stuff but from the website the Sirosill 50 looks very similar to Novaflex in qualities.
If your installer likes it and has had good luck with it, I'd go with what he likes.

Thanks, Window4U. After checking out the Sirosil 50 on the web, I had the same thoughts but appreciate an experienced opinion on the matter.
