looking for replacement window selection help in Wisconsin

Greetings,

To begin, I am located in southern Wisconsin just outside of Madison.

I have 5 - 36"x54" double hung windows that I wish to replace. I would like to get bids from 3-5 companies and then make a final decision. Without knowing much about the window selection process, I have set a budget af around $4,000.00 for this project.

I would love to get some input concering window types and manufacturers so I can begin the process of getting bids.

1. Preservation (Vinyl)
2. Ultimate 2000 (Vinyl)
3. Comfortline (Fiberglass)

Hi Cork,
Which way did you end up going? I'm starting my replacement window search (also in Madison , WI) and can use all the non-salesman advice I can get.
