We have had 3 calls from customers that we installed Simonton 7300 this past year. In Los Angeles and Orange County. It seems the 7300 is not draining fast enough so the water is coming over the track into the house. Nothing blocking the flow of the water out the weep hole. These are the only calls on a particular window brand for this sort of problem. Seems kind of strange. Simonton is sending out their service guy.
Anyone else having this problem or had this problem with Simonton or another brand?

Re: Simonton 7300 Retro fit leaking into the house.
Simonton told the customers that the rain was too much for the window to handle. Simonton did clean out the weep holes to make the water drain faster. I think the mesh that Simonton uses in the weep holes is fiberglass to prevent bugs from coming into the frame since the Simonton windows do not have weep hole covers could have caused the problem. Customers haven't called since so I guess it worked. They all called very unhappy with the water coming into the house when it happened.

I would be unhappy as a HO.
I would be pissed as the contractor.
I t was good that Simonton went out and took care of the problem.
Fortunately the last perfect carpenter was here two years ago.
