Alside Excaliber vs Okna DH300

#1 Post by Seg1 »

I have bids for the Excaliber and DH300 windows. The DH300s cost about $40 more per window. Are they appreciably better or just comparable? Any feedback would be appreciated.

What model inside the DH300 line? There are 3 options within that line.

I can't find any reference to a submodel of the 300 in either the Okna brochure or web-site. The specs on my quote are as follows:
  • European White fusion-welded frames
    Foam-wrapped frames
    Foam-filled frames
    Internal Contour Colonial Grids
Heat Shield Low E Glass/Argon-filled airspace
Carbon fiber SPACER (between the panes)
    Auto-Locks or standard Cam-type locks
    Locking or Standard Half screens
    Lifetime, Non-Prorated, Transferable Warranty
Glass Breakage Warranty to Original Owner

That is for the insul-weld model with the duralite spacer. Much better energy and air numbers than the Excalibur.
