Pella Thermastar

Any experience with Lowe's Thermastar vinyl windows made by Pella?

How would they compare with Alside Excalibur?

Replacing the windows in my house has turned into a real task. There are so many makes and conflicting opinions, any advise would be appreciated.

Pella Thermastar is not a great window in my option. Lowend at best. On the West Coast some of the Pella Thermastar line do not currently meet the requirements for the $1,500 tax credit. I will let others bash them. I would never put them in my house. I don't know much about Alside brand.
