Recommendation for cape cod (falmouth) vac / rental property

#1 Post by cape_cod »

Folks,

Can anyone recommend a good window / installer combo that would cover Cape Cod, MA (Falmouth). This is for a 3 family rental property that we also use one of the units as a vacation pad. We plan to keep this property forever and pay the heat bills for the all the units, so the important items would be: (1) good efficiency, (2) good price, and vinyl is fine.

Thanks in advance,

Cape Cod

I don't know if anyone here works that area that you can click on a link for.

If WOW or the others don't mind, I have a friend in the Boston area that might be interested.

He does real good work. Works in a lot of historic homes.

If anyone objects, then I won't give his information out.

It's not a question whether we object or not. It's against the board rules set by the owner of this site.

I realize that, and so this doesn't turn into any kind of argument,

I will say this:

Cape-Cod, click on a Quote button and see if anyone is in your area. If not, then the only suggestion I have is to pick up the phone book and start thumbing through it. Don't base it on how big the ad is, just pick a few and start calling.

Check for licenses (State or local if any), insurance and references. That will start you in the right direction.

When you find an installer, check the boards out for the type of windows they want to install. There will typically be good feed back for it.
