Windows for SE Washington??

#1 Post by ruger40 »

Good day,
I am looking to replace 8 slider aluminum frame windows in my home with vinyl windows. Looks like Pella is off the list w/ all the poor reviews here and elsewhere on the net!!
2 brands have caught my eye (both made here in Washington). Cascade WinPros w/ SB70 and Argon. And the other contender is Atrium 6000 series w/ loE366 and Argon.
Anyone have any comments on the better window...or if I need to look at something else? From the little I know both windows seem to have the same stats. There is the possiblity of Milgard Tuscany's as well, they are about 20% more than the Cascade WinPros.
My main need is to increase the heat/cooling performance of my home.
Thank you for your time!
Scott

Not sure about cascade, Atrium is pretty decent.

You should search out Windows on Washington. He should cover your area and is a great installer.

For us...Washington is as it pertains to the most wasteful city in the nation...DC.

Back to question at hand, I am not familiar with the Cascade but the Tuscany is a pretty decent window.
