I am enclosing a screen porch and need 5 sliders to complete the job. I am in NW Ct, and this side of the house does get the worst of the weather.
Have narrowed it down to 2 contractors, and would like to get some input from the board on window choices available.
Simonton 5500 - this is the brand I researched, and have been told it is a good, mid line window.
Harvey - these are low e, argon windows, don't know the model name
Weathershield Vision window - second contractor likes to use these. I have never heard of them, he claims they are very good.
Can I get some input from the pro's on the board as to which of these makes a better product?
Thank you.
Simonton 5500 or Weathershield Vision??

I like Weathershield's wood lines very much, but vinyl really is not their strong suit imo. The Simonton is a better choice.

Check the warranties.
My recollection is that WS is one of the few vinyl windows without a lifetime warranty.
