Looking for comparison of Alside Mezzo vs Simmonton 6500

#1 Post by church » Mon Oct 13, 2014 11:12 am

Can anyone tell me which window is better? I have been given quotes on both of the above that are almost identical. I am sifting through the warranties but the Simmonton 6500 has a breakage contingency built in.

The Alside Mezzo is offered by a local contractor and the Simmonton 6100 and 6500 were quoted by Home Depot.

Which is better in your professional opinion?

Thank you.

6500 is the better of the two windows.

That being said, there are better windows than that option as well.

+1. Not a big fan of either, really. The Mezzo may actually grade out slightly better on paper, but the Simonton is better built product IMO.
