Replacing the weather stripping on a sliding glass door

#1 Post by drivert »

I have an 11 year old sliding glass door (wood on the inside and I think vynil clad on the outside). We have noticed over the years that the weather stripping (gray, fuzzy looking stuff-sorry I'm not that technical) has started appearing at the bottom of the door where it slides open. With winter approaching in the midwest, I would like to replace this. First of all, can this be done by the home owner or do I need to call in a professional? If I can do it, how exactly do I go about it?
