Stickers

I know this is a bit random, but my installer left most of the stickers on the window glass and wondered whats best practise for gettin them off. Some windows already have residue from the big stickers they removed.

I was thinking heat gun, windex, wd40, razor blade, but did not want to damage the windows or the low -e coating if thats even possible

Most are designed to come off rather easily.

Do not use a heat gun.

The low-e is in the inside surface of the glass so you should not be able to damage it.

A razor blade, if not careful, can scratch the glass.

WD40 is the safest of your options. As long as you are not sloppy with it, Acetone will take the residue right off. Do not get it any acetone on the vinyl profile as it will chemically soften/melt the vinyl.

Patience is a virtue in this case.

Be careful if you plan on getting the tax credit for the windows. It's a good idea to keep the stickers in case you need to prove the windows met the qualifications.
