I am installing my first vinyl replacement window over an aluminum frame (stucco wall). In all the instructional videos and the instructions that came with the window, the aluminum frame that is flush with the stucco wall is pretty thick (looks like between 1/2 to 1 inch), which allows for a nice big bead of sealant across the tops and sides.
My aluminum frame is very very narrow (see pictures, but less that 1/8" on all sides). It seems like I could still get a seal, but it it would be with quite a bit less caulking than is ideal. Is it still okay to install with these conditions, or do I need to return the window and consider an alternative / call a contractor?
