I heard from a dealer friend of mine that simonton was filing for chapter 11 does anybody know if that is true.

I have not heard any rumblings of that. I think their market presence is still very strong right now.

I don't think Simonton is in any trouble. I heard the same thing about Plygem but they are just reorganizing their lines.

Plygem Somerton II and Brynmar will be discountinued this summer as well as the Brynmar French Sliding Door. These were Certainteeds brand names.

Certainteed Windows got bought by MI - MidWest to East Coast and Plygem - West Coast. I know Plygem is not going to use the Certainteed name anymore.
