Simonton/Grand Estates

#1 Post by RalphEd »

Is Simonton and Grand Estates the same company? The salesman showed me a GE but told me it was made by Simonton. Is he truthful?

No connection that I'm aware of. Amcraft Grand Estates used to be made by Kensington.

Kensington...Simonton sounds like the same company to me.

Ecostar is correct.
They are only connected because both brands are sold at ABC Supply, a contractor's supply house.

The Grand Estates is a private label made by Simonton, a 9800 re-branded

Thanks for the clarification Bill. Just so I understand, does Simonton and Amcraft both make a window with the same name, or does Simonton make it for Amcraft/ABC Supply?

It’s a private label program where Simonton makes it and ABC gives it a name and markets it. It’s the same as the program Simonton has with Norandex and Depot except that the window is not listed on the Simonton web site; at least not yet.

Below is the link to the window you can see it's a 9800 with a 7/8" glass.

Have a great holiday all.
