PVC or uPVC or virgin vinyl

What is the difference? One salesman I had out said his windows are PVC vinyl which is better than just vinyl.

PVC is vinyl and vice versa.

Windows are made from UPVC or Unplasticized PVC. UPVC is the plastic that is inflexible. Something like a garden hose would be from Plasticized PVC or referred to as regular PVC.

Your salesman might also claim that his windows are made from virgin vinyl...no distinguishable there either. Every window I know of is made from virgin vinyl.

You are a sick man David...that is a good window joke though...

I will have to recycle that joke sometime when I have the chance.
