I had Alside replacement windows installed about 8 years ago (10 DH and 1 casement) in my home in the Detroit area. They have been great, no problems whatsoever, saved a lot on my heat bill no call backs - really sturdy window. --tcmich :D

Alside makes the Ultramaxx, Sheffield, Excalibur, Geneva, Centurian and a couple of new constuction models. Which one were you interested in?

Howdy. We replaced out windows with Allside Sheffield model. 32X60 DH Low E, gas filled, half screen - $300 each. I installed them myself which is very very easy to do. I have found them to be very reasonable quality for what I though was a decent price. No complaints whatsoever on quality control or pricing.

Please post back in about 2 years. I have had numerous complaints after a couple of years. Not saying that you will, I am just trying to track the lifetime cycle on these units.

Thanks.

I would sell you those windows at $300 each but much better quality.
Where did you buy them from?

Why would you make such a comment to someone who has already purchased the windows and is almost finished installing them?

I have installed thousands of Alside mechanical windows. Alside was the first to offer as standard; double locks, double strength glass, intercept spacer, but that was the nineties. I also dislike pocket sill and filler sills. Now Alside aka associated materials has the new enviro view products. Has anyone an opinion on these?

Didn't you just love tilting them in and getting a lap full of water on your pants?
