If and when you or FenEx ever get a solution to your in-line sliders, can you send them over to my house when they're done with yours. I've been dealing with a problem in-line slider for two winters now. FenEx was able to get a Schuco rep to come out last year, and he said the problem warped sashes. Two new sashes later, the problem persists. I had to tape up the inside of the window with weatherseal tape this year because the whistling was so bad and it was scaring my four year old. Thankfully, I don't have the water issues that you have. FenEx has been able to get nowhere with Schuco regarding this. I've had a little better luck with Cindy Young at Schuco, and actually have the replacement bulb seals at my home. If only there was a way to install them. Hopefully we won't have to resort to the legal system for this, but if it comes to that, I'll be right there with you.JBechthold wrote:Thanks for the help. I have discussed this with FenEx as I did purchase my windows from him, he told me last Friday that he would check into a solution and get back to me by mid week, no respose so far from him and I am starting to get the feeling I am being jerked around.
What really upsets me about the problem is that I was going to replace the original leaking slider with two double-hungs, but FenEx sold me on the slider because it was such a great window. The other two sliders that we replaced with double-hungs have been great.
I haven't spoken to FenEx for a couple of months now, but maybe I should give him a call to see where things stand. We are waiting for Schuco to send out a replacement sash for a picture window they screwed up on, and I've been getting the runaround from them for months now. "Found it in Shipping dept, It broke", etc. They've had the replacement order since November. What's strange is that I had a piece of glass crack in January when the temps were below zero( it was the middle pane of the three panes), and Cindy sent me the replacement sash within a couple of weeks, but the picture window is going on 6 months
