I did some checking on Simonton- online nfrc numbers say it will pass but when I go to order on the Simonton program the computer does the calculations and it doesn't pass. Sculpted grids are changing the numbers too.
These do not pass 0.30 u factor or 0.30 shgc for Simonton
7500 Series(West Coast)

French Slider any size with low366, argon, superspacer
Regular Slider 95'x 79.5" or larger with sculpted grids low366, argon and superspacer

How can you get 7/8" or 1" glass? I assume you mean *all* panes added up? I have only heard of 1/4 inch glass as the thickest, so even if you mean a triple pane, that still would not reach 1 inch.Skydawggy wrote:Most of the Simonton 5500 pass if upgraded to Super Spacer and either 7/8" or 1" glass.

Energy Star has finally updated their website and now has the new requirements for 2009/2010 Tax Credits for windows and doors. Old requirements don't mean anything.

the window world product doesn't pass but clear choice is only using the silverline product on the west coast and Canada. on the east coast clear choice is using a another product that does pass. this is a awesome rebate hope is will get people to start buying windows and doors again.
