Vista windows warranty

#1 Post by voldaddy »

I did some research on Vista windows. They are supposed to be far superior to most windows on the market according to some people. Their warranty is as follows:
"Vista Window Company will assume no responsibility for glass breakage or screen damage what so ever. "
"This warranty covers materials ONLY. Service calls made from the factory into the home will be made at the prevailing rates. "

So.....they don't cover glass breakage for any reason, whether it's an act of God or the act of a neighborhood kids BB gun, and if the window malfunctions you have to pay a service charge.

Actually, the windows that are treated with the Tekon process, and upgrade, carry a lifetime warranty against any type of glass breakage.

Quoted form the Vista Windows warranty:

Vista Window Company, L.L.C. manufacturer of the EnergyXtreme® Window System warrants the high-performance insulated glass in your windows against breakage for as long as you own the home in which the windows were installed.

This warranty is only valid after the completion of the installation at your home. Installation must be totally completed by your EnergyXtreme® Dealer inaccordance with AWDI specifications.

If glass breakage does ocur, then Vista will provide the replacement insulated glass unit free of charge, to the installing dealer.
