Could someone please suggest a single-hung (or casement?) window that has both even sightlines and a relatively narrow frame as viewed from the exterior?
I need to replace some old close-coupled and relatively narrow (30x60) aluminum single-hungs which have a sightline of about 1½ inches from the stucco to the window bead.
I don’t want retrofit; I would like to use ‘new construction’ installation to keep as much glass area as possible & to limit the bulkiness of the frames.
Thanks…
Any suggestions please???

Tough call. The most narrow frames are going to be aluminum but you want to avoid that. In a vinyl, the Sunrise hung sashes are slightly more narrow but do have very unattractive uneven sight lines. Their casements have slightly more narrow frames than others but a very poor structural Design Pressure rating and pretty nasty, raised fusion welds. You may want to look into the Marvin Ultrex products. Good Luck.
