In my search for vinyl replacement windows I've received five quotes ranging from $18,000 to $9,500. I have six windows and three sliding glass doors - nothing fancy - all sliders. Two of those windows are tiny little bathroom windows. Here is how the quotes break out:
Polybau - $18,000
Viplex (Atrium) $12,500
Atrium Advantage 7800 - $14,500
Atrium Advantage 7800 - $10,000
Simonton Impressions 7500 - $9,500
Looking at price quotes on this site from across the country, I am having a hard time believing that California windows would cost so much more. I have very few windows in my house!
Any one out there who can help me? Are all of these quotes high, or am I paying the price of living in Sunny SoCal?
This is a great board - thanks to all of you who post - and especially those who answer!

I am a Dealer for Amerimax which makes a fantastic window for a great price! I am sure I can beat these prices! You can view windows at www.amerimaxwindows.com, Amerimax, jsut traded for over 1 Billion dollars, so they are stable to back the warranty!
