Which brand should I choose?

#1 Post by smod »

I' having my picture window replaced and measures 112" x 69" and is divided into 3 panes. Some conditions are tempered glass (because of WI state code 18" minimum from floor) and we choose casement-picture-casement design. My question is which window should I use Home gaurd or Feldco or neither? Both seem comparable except for some ARA ratings. Home Gaurd states their window is better with a higher ARA rating because they don't use wood supports inbetween each window. I'm just starting to dive into this listening to sales pitches from both companies.

Feldco uses a Thermal Industries/ Atrium product-- Not bad, not great... Is HomeGuard the manufacturer or the other window? I've seen their doors, but not their windows.
