Would you select the Marvin Infinity over Simonton or the other way around?
I believe I have narrowed it down to Marvin, Simonton or Gorell. However, this is not set in stone and I would appreciate any input.
Thanks! Depends what is important to you. If you want more glass, the Infinity is going to give you measurable more glass than the Simonton or Gorell. If you are price minded or worried about efficiency, the other two have better options.

Thanks again WoW.
Regarding the Simonton, would you go with the 5500 or 9800?

Thanks zapas, WoW & buddy110.
Since, efficiency is what I'm looking for I think I will get an estimate for the 9800s.
Is there anything in particular that I s/b looking for in the 9800 for the Northern NJ climate?
Btw, I really appreciate all the help and info from everybody in the forum. It's been a tremendous help.

There's really no measurable difference in performance between the Simonton Reflections 5500 and the Impressions 9800. Most who choose the 9800 do so because they like it for aesthetic reasons. The Reflections 5500/Prism Platinum is a little less expensive and is Simontons most popular window.

Thanks Skydawggy.
Are there any upgrades for the 5500 that I should get?

I'd definitely get double strength glass. May want to consider Super Spacer and ETC Starter Glass package. I think NJ is still far enough south to take advantage of a low SHGC. I'd ask your dealer what he recommends. Other than that, Simonton offers an array of colors, woodgrains and hardware that you can ask about. for a preview, go to the Simonton website.

I concur with Sky. I recomended the 9800 because of the looks. They're equal performers

Can anybody provide any insight on the SuperSeal 1100?
I took a look at them over the weekend and they actually looked pretty good. When I searched the forum, most of the comments are from 2008 and prior?

superseal is not a high quality window. may look good on paper but again, its the enineering and the low quality pvc they use. you won't be happy in 3 years.

I think that with Superseal you are moving in the wrong direction. I wouldn't trust anything from that company. Their claim to fame has always been super garbage new construction and low-grade replacement windows. I will not even ride along side of their delivery trailers on the interstate in fear that the rig may come apart at anytime. I've seen this window and from a glance from far away it doesn't look all that bad. Upon a closer inspection everything is really cheap with very little attention to fit and finish. It would be a good window for an outdoor flea market vendor with some $35.00 a day illegals.

Thanks canuck & Delaware Mike.
I was just looking for some info on the Superseal. I guess I'll scratch them off of my list now.
I believe I have narrowed it down to Simonton 5500.
Delaware Mike - Superdawggy recommended the ETC Starter Glass pkg for the 5500. Since we are both in the NE, would this be the best pkg for our area?
Or anyone else, please provide your thoughts.
