simonton windows leaking air

#1 Post by Janis Braley »

We recently replaced 22 windows with Simonton 5500's. When the wind blows air comes in. The installer has been here 5 times and factory 1. The problem is still not solved. They just can't find where it is coming in. All agree there is a problem. Can someone tell me what to do?

C'mon, be nice windowrep. Just because that response is the first thing that comes to many of our minds doesn't mean you actually have to say it!

Janis,
About all you can do is keep on the dealer and the manufacturer to provide a satisfactory solution. If they can't find a service solution, then I'd push hard for new windows from Simonton. Tolerances of frames and parts may vary during manufacture, and this may be the problem with your windows. I've seen it before.
