replacement windows

I want to get the windows in my brick home replaced this year. I've looked at Jeld-Wen, Milgard and Pella plus a couple of vinyls. Doe anyone have a good suggestion of a brand to use? I live in the northern climate zone.

None of those are very good, although Milgard is decent "midrange" choice imo. A few brands that are almost universally held in high regard are Gorell, Softlite, Sunrise, Okna, and Simonton. If you are looking at wood or fiberglass, I like Marvin and Weathershield.
