Replacement windows for Southern Arizona

#1 Post by Tucson »

I am about to have 3 windows and a sliding glass door replaced in my home with Amerimax AG3 thermal windows - windows - (1) 120X60 (2) 72X48 - sliding door 6'X80".
Cost about $6000 - does anyone have an opinion of Amerimax in this hot climate? Do the dollars look right?

Not extremely familiar with that window, but the price seems to be within the reasonable range for a high-quality vinyl window.

Did you only get one quote?

I think it is always a good option to get at least 2 quotes.

Thank you for your replies. I have one other quote but it is for triple pane windows and is considerably higher.

Windows are a big investment. You might want to look into another apples to apples quote.

Control the process and don't get bullied into a 3 hour presentation.

Exactly... I'd also say that triple pane is probably a waste in your location. A double pane with with a low shgc should do nicely.
