Any UV filtering?

#1 Post by Stranman »

I don't see any indication of % UV filtering/blocking on any of the window sites I looked at: SoftLite or Okna.

Am I misunderstood to think that a Deluxe Double Glazed from Okna does not offer any UV protection for my furniture, etc?

Thanks

Most double pane glass used in windows blocks between 84%-99% of UV radiation. How much depends on the specific package you choose.

You are misunderstanding it as Eco alluded to. Some packages protect better than others, however, it is pretty much a non-issue as any low-e coating (or similar) will provide excellent UV protection... Great choice in Okna, btw.

+1

Standard Low-e will block +80% as the two pros above me stated.
