I would move it up the chain and call Marvin corporate.

I have dealt with failure from all three mfg.
AW is about the best in taking care of the problem form my perspective.
I like all three units and see no current failures.

Just epoxied andersen frenchwoods back together clamped overnight four sets all delaminating and out of warranty by two years
cust paid 600 instead of 6000 to replace all panels.

Pella is rolled form aluminum cladding on wood sashes and extruded aluminum frames. Marvin uses extruded aluminum sashes and frames, much stronger and longer lasting. Best product to look at would be a fiberglass product that has no wood at all, some companies will give you a faux wood interior to stain and fiberglass exterior.

If you want wood windows with cladding exterior, go with aluminum instead of vinyl. Marvin uses a Kynar finish in their exterior colors to help resiste fading over time when exposed to elements. Treat exterior just like you would a car if not using Marvin product.

Installing windows for the past 35 years I have seen every major mfg have some large QC/design failure. The question is do they own up to it and how helpful are they to fix. Also what is their attitude going forward. From my experience I would say that AW is the best.
I am glad that I do not make them and only install them, windows that is.
