Who makes the glass in most windows? PPG or Cardinal

#1 Post by hootie »

Do all window companies use the same glass? I have been told that Cardinal is the premium glass manufacturer in windows but I have heard of PPg

Cardinal is the largest, followed by PPG. Some manufacturers also use Guardian, Pilkington, AFG.

Softlite uses PPG, Simonton uses both. I don't know who Plygem uses.

I would put Cardinal, PPG, or Guardian in my home without given a performance nod to one or the other.

Cardinal is probably the most diverse with their offerings and has more options right now.
