Following this thread with interest, beginning a 20-window replacement project, but want to install them myself.

Given that the box-store windows are sub-par, are any of the brands mentioned here (I'm leaning towards the Imperial LS) available for direct consumer purchase?

It might be best that you post on the DIY part of the board.
You will not be able to buy direct from SL.
But a dealer in your area will sellmthe windows to you for DIY.

+1. Most premium windows are available only through dealer networks. Your best bet would be to find a dealer(s) for the product(s) that you like, and then see if they will sell to you cash and carry. Some will, some won't, and some will jack the price up so much that you may as well have them install it.

Final Decision was to go with the Okna 500 Deluxe installed by a local company Aspen Home Improvements. We really like the idea of the large glass area on the sliders and they were the only company willing to quote a Bay window instead of a bow.

The installer who does final measurements came out today to do the final measurements and everything looks good. He did tell us that the reason the Bow windows are all failing was due to poor support under the bow. All of the windows have a "fog" and 1 gets sever condensation in the window.

We hope to have the installation done in early January at the latest.

Excellent choice. I'm certain that the Okna product will exceed your expectations. :D

Hope to have some pics this weekend but thus far the new Bay and Sliders are amazing! Whe had 3 sets of DH next to each other and choose to go with a slider in place of each set. We love the new setup and the glass area is amazing!
