I may be wrong, but you should be using the warranty ID numbers which would correspond to information in the Simonton database not Norandex. Even still, if someone has been out to take measurements, the replacement glass should be able to be made exactly to those dimensions.

+1

The window should have a Simonton part number on it.

MDMoberg wrote:The serial numbers Norandex uses to identify their windows appear to be a large part of the problem. They are located on stickers found on the side of each window and are supposed to be like fingerprints, unique for each window. Unfortunately they do NOT correspond to accurate information in the Norandex database...

I'm very suspicious of this problem with Simonton and Norandex. There have been times in the past when competitors have come on here and made up problems in order to smear different manufacturers. I have asked the poster which Norandex Office he is dealing with and the persons name he's dealing with. Instead of answering, he's chosen to stop posting. That's a pretty strong indication to me that there's something more to this. For the record, I don't buy anything thru Norandex currently but my past dealings with them and Simonton lead me to believe there is either more to this story than is being disclosed or it's a complete fabrication.

Sorry, I'm just not buying it.

There’s one other possibility. Norandex manufactured their own aluminum window and patio door in Florida and foolishly Simonton purchased the plant and window line only to discontinue the product after about two years and Simonton is stuck with all of the warranty issues.

If they have this window and purchased before Simonton acquired the company I could see this happening.

I thought we were talking about a Simonton Vinyl Window.
