Thanks to all the members advice. It's coming in handy for my research on replacement windows.
I've been considering: Gorell, Soft-Lite and Simmonton.
I see in the news Gorell has filed for bankruptcy (10 Feb 2012) and Soft-Lite may purchase the company (but not the company debt - which would hurt material suppliers). This leads me to believe there could be issues with getting Gorell windows in the near term.
May have to pass on Gorell at this time.
Gorell in receivership - may be purchsed by Soft-Lite

I doubt you would have difficulty getting Gorell Windows during the transfer. Softlite would lose too many Gorell dealers if they let that happen.

I'd have to agree with Eco. That said, it would probably be prudent to wait until things are settled down over there prior to purchasing. Not so much from the soft lite line, but from the Gorell lines, to make sure that they will continue on in their current form.
