is low-e & foam filled really worth the extra cost in a pola

hello again - i have finally found 3 companies in akron who install polaris windows - the 2nd is due out on thursday & i have just one small question - is the low-e glass & foam filled frame options really worth the price? - any opinions or help would be greatly appreciated - thank you

Low-e should be a standard in every window you look at.

Foam is an okay option but it depends on the price for the upgrade. Some windows it makes a decent difference, others it does not. Look at the comparative and figure out what makes sense for you.

+1. Low E is automatic. The type of low-e used can be dependent on multiple factors including the region that you live and the orientation of your home. As WOW said, the foam is certainly not the "end-all, be-all", whether or not it is a wise investment depends on the price and the effect that it has on the U-value.

lowE -argon is a must.
foam filling is something i tend to endorse. it will add some r-value to the frame . however, i also like the added rigidity rendered by foam.

So does minimal expanding foam around the windows. I noticed right way after using fiberglass for the first 25 years. The street noise coming around the windows was eliminated after the window was foamed.
