Windows in Wyoming

#1 Post by michaelahess »

I'm awaiting two more estimates. But I already had American Remodeling come in and I signed the contract for 13 windows. I was expecting the other quotes Monday so I can cancel the American Remodeling contract still if needed. They said "the price is only good tonight" of course that's crap but the info provided sounded good.

They are Amerimax windows with a lifetime (through AR) warranty as well as a lifetime accidental breakage warranty. I read them both, seem to be legit, no deductible, and labor is 20 years.

The windows are labeled Weather Max, Argon gas, non-conductive structural foam spacers, titanium dioxide coating called Neat Glass.

The estimate was 10k (after negotiating down a bit) for 13 windows of sizes:

2x 25x40
2x 48x44.5 (2 large panes with two smaller ones in LR)
2x 48x17.5 (2 smaller panes to the above for LR)
4x 40x25.5
3x 39.5x25
2x 32x25.5

I have a feeling that's a bit high. They are all single slider type except the two big ones of course that are static.

What's everyone think?
