...and those reveals are impeccable. That is a pro job (assuming that the interior looks as good as the exterior)Delaware Mike wrote:Very clean capping and caulking work.

Thanks guys.
We had to replace all the interior trim to match the window cherry woodgrain color. We replaced the stool, extension jambs and the clam shell.

Since the existing capping was mitered at the head why was the new boxed instead of mitered.
Also the return leg of the cap to the siding is not caulked.

Customer had the option of mitered or straight. He went with straight.anthony wrote:Since the existing capping was mitered at the head why was the new boxed instead of mitered.

I took the pictures before we put a clear bead on the return legs.

Very professional approach. I always like to ask the homeowner how they would like the top done when there are multiple methods with an equal finished result.

Good job.
I agree best to give the homeowner the choice.

Re: Coil Wrap or PVC Trim Replacement?
Personally, I think either option is fine if done properly, it really depends on who does it , but I think a lot of the guys who tell you coil isn’t the way to go ,are just guys that can’t do alum coverage so they tell you it’s junk simply because they want to sell you the regular pvc trim . That being said , if you have the wrong guy install your alum trim coil , it could possibly leak but that goes for anything that you install incorrectly, sooo I would ask for pictures of some of their work so you can gauge them.

Where did the time go?
Every time I see something from 10+ years ago...I scratch my head.
