Andersen Windows from Home Depot

#1 Post by kmersales »

I am looking at purchasing Andersen double hung windows thru Home Depot. They have quoted me almost $1100 per window for the 400 series, double hung, wood interior, vinyl clad outside. Does anyone know if this is a reasonable price. I want good windows and have tried to avoid the really cheap brands out there, but I am not sure if $1100 a window installed is really a good deal. Anyone have similar dealings with Home Depot?

Where are you located?
What is your zip code.
How old is your house?
I would not let big orange or blue do this type of install.
The skill level goes beyond that of an insert replcement and they can hardly do that.
Just my opinion.

+1 to anthony's feedback.

Most building supply houses will also carry Andersen and will probably have a more knowledgeable person on staff to help you navigate options.

While big Blue/Orange are great companies, when you get down to the finer and more technical points, they can sometimes be a bit of a vacuum.
