Investment condo has a mesh screen and a storm window

#1 Post by woodridge_condo »

But that's it!

I just bought this condo where the windows are nothing but 2 screens, one mesh and one storm. There is no other glass, nothing. The frames have been taped and caulked until they are dead. The wood trim of course has been painted over from moisture rot for god knows how long.

I am looking for the most inexpensive replacement option possible without having to do it myself. I will not use home depot. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thank you

Where is the home located?

I would call some local vendors and see what they have local.

Most companies will have a "budget" option.

A "budget" vinyl replacement will be your best bet. Obviously you don't want to spend too much, but be careful about going too cheap. The entry level products from the upper tier manufacturers are good choices (HiMark, Okna, Sunrise, Softlite/Gorell).

Thank you, I didn't know the budget option. I was told "contractor grade" but that was about it. Truly anything is better than whats in there now, thank you for the help.

While he doesn't have a real tight budget option, Window4U does serve that area if you wanted to get a quote from him.
