#1 Post by fenestrationman »

What is a good product for removing tape adhesive from a vinyl window or door? Thanks in advance.

Nothing with any solvents in it.

Spray lubricants (Silicon, WD-40, etc) seem to work well and one of the orange oil based "Goo" removers also work.

I use Goof-Off on a cloth rag! It will take it off easily. Then you can use one of those green scouring pads you use on pans to buff it up. The green pad buffs it up well. Don't use a lot of solvent on the window. It can soften the vinyl!

I will have to pick your brain about the scuffing thing to polish.

Never had good luck with that.
