Replacement windows for Phoenix

#1 Post by svtrichie »

Starting my search for new windows for the arizona heat. Some locals are telling me Milgard or Simonton? Any help and direction would be awesome. Looking for something good to better quality without going broke!! House is a ranch style block home. Attached are pictures but the windows at the moment have screens over them.

A lot of the top performing products are not available out West. Milgard and Simonton are probably two of the better vinyl options that you have available to you, although you may find some great choices that are more regionally based .

You might want to consider thermally-broken aluminum windows in that environment - narrower frames and great resistance to extreme heat. Milgard manufactures a line that should be available in your area. If you prefer vinyl, make sure that whatever window you go with has internal sash reinforcement.
