Any info or feedback on ALSIDE or CDI (Comfort Design) windows.
I'm looking to replace old step down aluminum windows and I don't want to cut my siding.
Thanks

What are you talking about? Step down?
Do you mean awning windows? Is that what a salesman called them?
Cut back siding! I have installed alot of windows and 98% of the time have never had to cut siding.
You could be a 2% but do not worry and do not pay more just because of it.
Alside makes a good product but I am not sure who the other vendor is.
If you want real answers do not listen to most salesmen and wait for the installer or measure person to come out after the sale for real answers.
CRAZY AS THIS MAY SOUND!!!
YOU STILL HAVE 3 DAYS TO CANCEL AFTER THE SALE MARK YOUR CALENDAR.

I was told because my old aluminum windows are installed weird behind my siding they would have to cut the siding back also he told me cutting back the siding and installing a 2x2 around the window is better.?
I did find a window installer who is the sales person and he also installs and he said he would not recommend cutting my siding so I'm going with him.
Thanks for your help with this.
