I am looking to upgrade 1960's windows in a 1 bedroom apartment in the Phoenix area.
There is a 47" x 47" window, 95" x 47" window and 69.5" x 79.5" sliding door.

I had one company come out and they quoted Amsco Studio Flush Fin LowE366, it's about $2500 total for the 3. Is that reasonable? Their boilerplate says they won't remove and re-install the window coverings which surprised me. Is that typical these days?
Also, is Argon needed in Phoenix?

That pricing is crazy aggressive.
We don't remove and reinstall blinds either. Too many things can go wrong there.
Argon isn't a must in Phoenix given the climate.

Re: Window Upgrades in Phoenix
We R&R window treatments and alarms if it is part of the spec and is figured as a separate charge.
We prefer not to do the window treatments just like everyone else.

I got another quote for the following:
Simonton DaylightMax 7300 Tip-to-Tip; Block
Frame w/Track Fill; Intercept; ProSolar Shade Low E; Argon Gas; Double
Glazed; Double Strength (1/8"); Half Screen Fiberglass Integral Pull Rail; A1
Lock Rail Only; Tape Applied; One Air Latch; Two Cam White; Logo Lock;
Corrosion Resist Roller/Glide (UI=95"); DP:15; Test Number=C9016.01; U-
Factor:.29; SHGC:.23;
It's about $3,300. Is this a better window?
In any event, my apartment must be inexpensive to cool because the projected electric bill is negligible. It seems this would be mainly for aesethetics.

Re: Window Upgrades in Phoenix
I'd agree with the other pros. Very low pricing, and very few contractors will remove and reinstall window treatments. Even when they do, it almost always comes with a damage waiver. 5 times in 10 something will break.... The prices that you are seeing a what I'd expect for a quality door alone, with no windows included. As WoW stated, very aggressive in this case. Are these reputable installation companies?
Re: Window Upgrades in Phoenix
They both seem to have good reviews to me. For the Simonton quote, the owner seems to do the installs himself.
