Need DIY Dark vinyl or equivalent

#1 Post by blitzpb »

We live in a townhouse and as such are required to abide by our HOA rules. One of the rules is that you must use a bronze colored winodw replacement. I have decided that I would rather do the job myself and I am trying to find windows that meet our rules. I dont think that I can get dark vinyl from HD or other big box stores, so am wondering, where can I go to get dark vinyl? Is dark vinyl even recommended due to the potential for sagging. Should I look to an alternative? Fiberglass, aluminum?

Thank you.

PS, we are in Southern California

Just to let you know that bronze replacement windows are available...

Visit their sites to find a dealer in your area.

Mercer windows and Phillips windows will paint their vinyl. It is not cheap. Fiberglass or Wood are the other alternatives. Both are very expensive.
