can anybody give me an opinion on this quote? is it reasonable? i'm getting triple pane windows with krypton gas in central california. my quote is around 10,500. it seems a little excessive to me. what do you guys think? thanks in advance for any input.

Is a little on the high side for double pane windows so it may just be what anothe rpane of glass would ad. In my opinion triple pane is overkill for California climate.

I agree w/E-Z. Triple pane is preferable in Wisconsin...not Calif. You should be looking for a cost average of $550 per opening. Good Luck

Seems high but they are tripled paned. LOL What do you need triple paned windows for in Central California. Right now price is about $3000 too high for double pane mid-level windows. Get some other quotes.
Anyone know of any good window dealers in Central Califoria? Click on request a quote and they should point you in the right direction.

We had a Shuco rep come out to the house last night for an estimate on windows. He quoted us $16,005.00 for 16 windows. (Corona 4000 triple pane, krypton gas, flat grids inside the glass, all 16 are double hung). First saw the window at a Sam's Club in the area.
This estimate seems high but we are not really sure. A contractor who has done remodeling work for us gave us an $11,000.00 estimate for same 16 windows (Grandview 400 series).
We would appreciate any insight on the Shuco estimate.
Thank you.
