Schuco windows, Thermal industry and Atrium.

#1 Post by vcoachband » Wed Sep 05, 2012 9:19 pm

I had read some information on Schuco windows and want to get at least a quote from them. Does anybody know how to get in touch with Schuco in North Carolina? Winston Salem area.

Also, receiving quotes on Thermal industry windows and Atrium windows. Any advice will be helpful

Best of luck with the Schuco qoute. They have been gone for years.

I would expand my search beyond the TI and atrium window brands.

Ah! That would explain the problems finding a dealer.

So what windows would you recommend besides TI and Atrium? I'm reading mixed reviews on both

HiMark, Soft-Lite, Polaris, Sunrise, and Affinity all make great windows.

I don't like to put down specific products/companies/manufacturers. What I do recommend is a thorough comparison of the thermal and structural ratings of the products that you are considering. You also want to identify a few key design features, most notably a welded, sloped sill as opposed to pocket or snap-in sloped. A quick site search will yield what would be considered to be a "high" level of performance.

Atrium and TI both have design flaws and lack both structural and energy performance. i agree on the windows that windws on washington recommended..
The Affinity Ultra series window as well as HiMark, Sunrise, Polaris ,and Soft lite all make very solid windows.

I would have to agree with all of the above. The TI product is outdated... and FYI, TI is owned by Atrium if you were not aware.
