 quaker vs. atrium

Author: brandonmcox (---.dsl.ipltin.ameritech.net)

Not wanting to go with Pella or Andersen because of cost, I have narrowed down my choices to quaker or atrium. Does anyone have any helpful info about either? I am using vinyl sliders, specifically.

Thanks.

I have no experience with atrum, but just had 19 quaker windows 2 of them sliders and a quaker atrium wood/vinyl clad door installed. priced at about 375 a window installed with low e, argon and aluminum coil wrapping around the exposed wood on the outside. I'm from st. louis and the quakers are made here in missouri...they've been in the window business for some 60 years and the window is not all that bad.

Let me know what you decide...by the way, my quakers are the pro edge.
