 Fair Price for 20 Schuco's - Under $12K

I just signed a 20 Schuco window deal for $11,500 (plus tax, install included). Got the usual sticker-shock sales pitch. Then some weeks later I got a call offering a price drop that was thousands less then the original quote... "end-of-month... factory incentives... next quota level... passed on to consumer...", bla, bla.

I will pay a good price for a good window. I just have no way to compare prices since Schuco has just one dealer in my region. According to our State law I have a 3 day rescission period which I could easily take advantage of if I found I was being skinned on this deal.

FYI, I passed over the Alside Sheffield, GreatLakes, and Milgard Classic which would have been thousands cheaper.

Here is what we picked out
(Yes I provide exact measurements if needed.)
- R6 glass = 2-pane, Krypton, low-E.
- Standard locks, half screen
- 20 Schuco 4000 windows
- 1 slider. UI = 132
- 2 PW. UI each = 118
- 17 DH, w/ grids. UI avg = 92

The price is good, I just don't know why he's only giving you double with Krypton instead of triple. The cost between the two is negligable with him already having the krypton added already.

Schuco dealer said 3-pane was about $100 more per window than 2-pane (20 windows @ $100 = $2,000), so that is nearly 20% increase in price. Is your experience different than this?????

The other factor, which bugs my wife, is the "green tint" the 3-pane windows have.

The green tint that triple panes had in the past is no longer in modern windows for the most part. It was caused by the high iron content in the glass.
Schuco windows do not have this green tint, though the sample window with triple seen in the house especially at night will appear darker than the double paned.
My real world experience is that I have put many large double-pane Schuco picture windows in where the size was too big for triple, and then put triple-glazed doublehungs in on both sides of the double-paned picture window. I nor my customers have been able to see a difference in ti

I live in Denver (Westminster). There is only one Schuco dealer in the area (that appears to be Schuco's business model).
