Re: Window World ..are they any good?

Author: Getting Nervous (---.ipt.aol.com)
Date:

July 16, 2004. Went with Window World and windows have arrived and installation has started. Price is good for 11 windows and door. About 6K including installation. Can't complain about the price. 5 windows semi-installed so far today. The first five are not finished as the outside trim above one has been ripped off. Caulking around windows in kitchen is already cracking and split in addition to not looking very smooth. Remortaring still needs done and I don't think the installer bought any sand to mix in so that it matches. Some masonry has been applied but its brittle, cracked and flakes off like white chalk. The windows themselves look fine but install doesn't look good yet. 6 windows left plus a sliding glass door. Will continue to post progress.
