Windows and sliding door are completely installed. Took 3 days to complete. Haven't posted yet because I was still doing some touch up (recaulk a few areas and masonry work). The windows look good from the outside and all function properly thus far. The damaged trim I mentioned previously was replaced. I had to paint because Window World doesn't. That's standard policy of most installers. Have noticed a reduction in heat coming in the front of my house from the old windows. I can touch the glass now and it isn't hot any longer. I did get the argon gas by the way. One problem installer ran into was getting the sliding glass door in. They had to build a frame for it because my opening was bigger than the door. That went fine except for one thing I haven't figured out what to do about. There is now a 1/2" gap between the frame they built and the foundation. They tried to use liquid nail to secure the bottom of the frame to foundation but it wouldn't take. The house is secure and the door fits but there is access for bugs/whatever to crawl in the gap. I did go over the caulking and re-did some areas that had cracked or had small gaps. Also re-did some mortar where they had used "great stuff" (foam sealant) and hadn't mortared over it. Put some extra cement around the windows where it was recessed. Overall, I would say I am happy with the windows, installation, and price that I paid. I would refer anyone who is cost concious and doesn't mind doing some touch up work to choose Window World.
