Contract stated ALL WORK FULLY WARRANTEED AND INSURED WITH MANUFACTURERS FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY. We called prior to Feb 2, 2012 and were told by Gorell personal (Kim) that the lifetime warranty was valid and would replace any defective windows. On February 27, 2012 we sent all information and $50.00 transfer fee requested to transfer the warranty. After getting back the signed return receipt requested dated March 1, 2012, we called on March 10, 2012 to find out where the warranty was. We were told that Gorell was (in receivership) and that the new buyer would not honor any lifetime warranties. We then requested that they send our $50.00 back with a letter stating why they would not honor and transfer this lifetime warranty. We did not receive the requested letter. We received our $50.00 back with all information we sent to them. I called about not receiving a letter and was told they don't have any letter that they can send with the information why they won't honor the lifetime warranties. We have nine double hung Gorell windows in which 90% of them need replacement. Total cost to original owner was $23,087.12. This was contracted in the year of 2006. How sad it is that one pays so much for a 9' X 20' florida room and 90% of the windows are defective. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
