Re: Help with new windows

+1 to the trend line you are on. For the super energy focused, rigid foam is nice, but does come with it...some additional details and difficulties. Totally doable if the siding installer has done it before and understands where all the problem areas and hiccups are. While it does help, quite a bit,...

Re: Is it possible for Double Pane Glass to have U Factor of Triple Pane

Can't add anything to the technical assessment that HomeSealed laid out. It's spot on.

I would also recommend that you give Paul at AGM a ring too. Solid guy who runs a great shop there. Can't go wrong with those folks.

Re: Finding U Factor of Sunrise Sliders and Picture windows with AR90 and KR90 Package

Total slam dunk. If you can use HomeSealed, do. There isn't a better shop in Wisconsin. Hands down.

Re: Cant find U factor of existing windows based on NFRC label

Schuco was a great window at the time, but is since defunct.

If memory serves me correctly, their U-Factors were right around the 0.30 number in dual pane.

What are the windows? Double or triple?

Re: Help with new windows

Based on your recommendation, I will contact WoW and will let you know what I decide. Once again, I do appreciate your feedback. Letspring...be sure to reach out to me if you call the office. When it comes to the integrating foam with the window projects, I (Eric) am the better one to speak to at t...

I wouldn't want someone doing the capping that doesn't have the equipment (i.e. the regular experience) for doing it.

What is VWD?

How many windows are you talking about in this first batch.

While it could be the deal of a lifetime, I have also seen plenty of situations where a family friend became a family
"unfriend" because stuff went off the rails.
